MUSIC MONDAYS

I spend a lot of time on public transportation or waiting for my next class. While I'm on the subway or doing my homework, I like to play music. This year, I discovered new artists and songs. I also got to know certain artists more.

Albums
This year, Banks' third album III came out. Initially, I wasn't a fan because of the autotune. But given that I already bought tickets to see her in concert by myself, I listened to the full album a week before the concert. (It was also the first concert I ever went to! I really hate tall people...) I think it's a great album. I love the more bass-heavy and fast-paced songs more than the ballads; no ballad will ever beat Someone New. I recommend: Till Now, Gimme, Contaminated, Stroke, Godless, Alaska, Propaganda, and The Fall.
I might be three years late, but 130 Mood: TRBL by DEAN is a fantastic album. DEAN is one of my favorite Korean RnB artists; he has such a beautiful and sexy voice. I recommend all the songs on the album, plus his song "Love" and "Bermuda Triangle," which also features Zico and Crush. When I turn 21, I will be blasting his song 21 in the bar.
When I can't find anything to listen to, I put on albums I know I love, like AM by the Arctic Monkeys. This is probably the only album of theirs that I've listened to fully. I dedicated a couple of minutes to get into Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, but I couldn't. It wasn't what I was expecting, which is a double-edged sword: it is great they are evolving as artists, but it wasn't something I wanted to listen to, at the moment. Now that I have this post published, I will be sure to listen to their other albums.

    1. LOL! My fave movie soundtrack is Coraline (a bit creepy with the child chorus) and P&P (it's a lot of Classical/Piano tho...) Thanks for visiting!
