BEST READS OF 2016

2016 was a terrible year. David Bowie's death, the election, David Bowie's death... I can't continue because it's gonna make me depressed. But, there were amazing books this year!!!! Here are some of my favorites from 2016, in no particular order: (If you click on the titles, it will lead to my review)

This is one of the most perfect endings EVER! It's a wildly entertaining series with the most interesting world. It has a diverse set of characters and dynamic. Please pick up the first book in the series, IMMEDIATELY!!!!

I will mention this series until the day I die. It's just an enchanting story and every Sci-Fi/Fantasy lover will love this series. If you like Game of Thrones and/or Star Wars, you will love this series. It has a wonderful narrative, great storytelling, and amazing art (all the makings of a really great graphic novel/comic series).

3. Air Awakens Series (1&2) by Elise Kova
This is an EXTREMELY fast-paced and addicting series. I love the romantic and political intrigue, the characters, the magic system and the whole world in general. It has great writing, for the most part, and an enjoyable plot. It's "indie" and needs more praise tbh. It also has the most gorgeous covers.

NA Romance is a guilty pleasure of mine and I can ALWAYS count on Colleen for my fix. This book is so much darker and hard-hitting than her previous works. It's inspired by real-life experiences and touches upon a serious topic. This book made me cry and laugh. It's such a beautiful book and if you were to read any book on this list, please read this one!

2016 was also the year my favorite trilogies said good-bye. This trilogy is one of the few consistent trilogies out there. Amazing world, political intrigue, an incredibly clever protagonist, an equally clever love interest, and compelling plot. Great, epic ending!

6. Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

One of the most shocking endings I have ever read! The MC, Alex, had Schizophrenia and the writing does a really job writing in that "point of view". I saw everything vividly and accepted it as my reality, but things are not always as it seems. GREAT BOOK!

This book was going to be 5 book longer, but I didn't like have 11 books for 2016. Because I have issues, anything other than 6 or 16 is unacceptable for 2016. I hope you enjoyed this list and I hope you decide to pick these books up. I had a lot of trouble narrowing down to these books. What was your favorite book this year?
